Trace Waterfall
Spans nested under the span that started them, each a bar on a shared clock, so parallel calls sit side by side and the slow one stands out. The chain that finished last is marked as the slowest path, running spans grow to now, failures carry a cross and a word, and Zoom to span fits the axis to one part of the run.

Only the slowest path makes a run slow
Shortening a call off the slowest path does not make the run finish sooner, so that chain is drawn darkest and labelled. Everything else is grey.
